We missed you grandma....

Just when you think you have seen it all, you are humbled by what life throws at you in the form of an inept situation... I am on a plane to Wichita (its like the Ramgarh of the US) that was in the middle of a boarding process where I hear a lady talking rather obstreperously on the phone with whom it appears to be her daughter. Her tone is loud enough for everyone to overhear. She is instructing her daughter to come into the plane and switch places finding her lost grandmother.Yes you heard it right, Her lost grandmother. Apparently the three were travelling together but the mother got in early .The daughter escorted the grandmom up till the gate, checked her in and lost her faster than one would loose an appetite on seeing a dead animal.
The teen walks in and she and her mom are trying to explain the situation to the stewardess and gain consent to leave the plane and search for her 60 year old lost mother. For some reason this situation baffled me .. how can one loose a human on a jet bridge that leads to the plane.. and to make matters worse they switched boarding passes which means the grandma has her granddaughter's boarding pass and has wandered away to oblivion.
Its situations like these where you try to keep a straight face and find it impossible..because this is seriously funny and sad at the same time.
Finally the lost grandma is found, turns out the grandma had to answer nature's call, returns to a wrong gate and walks into a plane off to LA. Luckily one of passengers realized that she was on the wrong plane ..probably from an argument over an already occupied seat and sent her back to a gate agent who then escorted her to the gate where her daughter was waiting. We lost 15 mins in this whole ordeal but it gained me a blog :).
